Sitting in sleeping bag outside tent as the sun
goes down, red wine one hand, Harry Potter the other (as in book), kids
asleep, and a belly full of barbecued sausages. Heaven. |

| Watching
people pitch right on the shore when there are gale force winds, and seeing
them peg two guy lines into one peg – one can but wonder and smile, bless. |

| There's
a pitch right on top on a bit of a hill, well see now its a lot of a hill
and I have always wondered how people haven't slipped out of their tents.
Gravity can be a campers undoing!!! |

knowing they WONT be filling their lungs with cigarette smoke from concerned
adults. Good on the ban. |

Wonderful and relaxing setting of the
whole island. Great place for the kids, friendly faces and lots of FUN!
Good old fashioned holiday. Can't wait for my next visit. |

After a long worthwhile drive, feeling
excited about our stay. The site of the causeway is better than getting off
a plane and having to wait for your baggage.
A safe, relaxing, stunning environment, views and friendly strangers are
just the best.
What sums it up for me- after taking my little boy abroad, he said- " I'd
rather have gone to Shell Island!" |

| I Love going crabbing on the causeway with the kids, and walking on the beach in the evening collecting shells. I've been coming to Shell Island every year since I was 5 years old or thereabouts. I'm 39 now and still look forward to my 2 weeks every year. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else. It's the safest place for kids that I know of, and it is incredibly beautiful.

| The wilder side of life; beautiful unspoilt dunes with rare plants and insects, dolphins and the jellyfish at the beach, and around the site, owls, rabbits and stoats, gulls and buzzards, and the strangest of all; humans |
